WINTER LEAGUE FRIENDLY AWAY TO ANSTRUTHER - Sunday, 5th October

This was the first of our Winter League Friendly matches.  It was also the first time that some of the ladies had played the Anstruther course.  We played 2 loops of the 9 hole course in the 4BBB format.

Following Storm Amy which had closed lots of golf courses, including Anstruther, we were relieved to find ourselves playing in the sunshine with no rain whatsoever, albeit in very windy conditions.  The course itself was a real challenge for most, especially in the windy conditions and the greens were a test too!

Post golf we enjoyed tasty soup and sandwiches and talked about our shots on various holes including the notorious "rockies" hole !

The home team were triumphant with a 3-0 win and despite the loss for the Blairgowrie ladies, we all really enjoyed our time there.  Everyone at Anstruther were friendly and made us feel very welcome.

Here are some photos from the day......

Thank you to Heather Dawson, Pauline Hill, Eileen Brown, Maggie Marshall (Team Captain), Shirley Lewis and Teresa Lynch for giving up their time to represent the club.
