Thirteen Ladies braved horrible weather to attend the Skin Care for Golfers winter social event.
Michelle Roberts from Aesthetique started off with a moisturising face mask with hyaluronic properties. She advocated a good exfoliator to start with to take all dead skin away, followed by a moisturising mask (credit to Cassy for volunteering!)
Cleansers and face moisturisers are vegan friendly and cruelty free.
Tips are: Use UV barrier creams on all exposed parts of the body; to rehydrate regularly; in winter take vitamin C and D.
There was a raffle for a chance to win a beauty treatment voucher to the value of £35 - Heather Dawson was the lucky winner!
£46 was raised on the day in aid of Alzheimer Scotland - thank you !
My thanks go to Pauline Hill who came up with the idea, Heather Dawson who led the event and also to Marion Kay who helped on the day.
Here are a few photos......
Our ladies received a very warm welcome from our hosts when we visited St Michaels for our penultimate match in the inter-club Winter League. We were all looking forward to playing this lovely course without fairway mats and on full greens and, although soft underfoot, it didn't disappoint. The par 3's were as quirky and interesting as always, and the greens much faster than we have experienced at home recently!!
Winter League and Stanley Clark Trophy - Friday, 10th January

Div 1 - no players
Div 2 winner : Zoe Chisholm (38 points), runner up Lesley McPherson (33 points)

There was a great turnout of 21 ladies attending the first of the Ladies Section social events.
Louisa Johnston, Naturopath gave an informative and interactive presentation on ways to feel better and energised for the golfing season. She provided tips on what to eat for breakfast before and during the game and general health nutritional guidance including fats, protein and carbs. It was good to see ladies engaging in the discussions.
My thanks go to Morna Bell for organising the event and to Pauline Hill for taking photographs on the day.
Our next event will take place on Monday, 27 January - come along to receive guidance on skin care for the outdoors! (More information will be communicated shortly)
Please find below information on the SVLGA Midlands Vets. This is a great opportunity to play other courses and meet you new people.
There is normally a joining fee but this has been suspended this year. Check out their website for more information (there is also a link on the blog).
