Commonwealth Spoons Blair Atholl

Congratulations to Margaret Hunter and Sandy Bushby who won the Perth and Kinross County Ladies Commonwealth Spoons event at Blair Atholl with a nett 71.5. They have qualified for the finals on the 24th September at Longniddry.

Blairgowrie Ladies' Invitation Day

On Tuesday Blairgowrie hosted its annual Ladies Invitation day. 140 ladies struggled their way around the two courses despite the dreadful weather.Captain Liz Fertacz would like to congratulate everyone for their persistance. Below are a few photos kindly taken by Ron Mclaren.

Hole In One for Margaret MacNaughton

Congratulations to Margaret MacNaughton who had a Hole in One on the "Wee Dunt" 15th of Rosemount on the Wednesday 22nd April. She hit a beautifully shaped 4 iron to to achieve her ace.

Ladies VS Senior Gentlemen

Today the annual match between the ladies and the senior gentlemen was played. The weather went from rain to sunshine to rain, but that did not manage to dampen the spirits. Above is a photo of a lovely rainbow at the 15th.

The matches were all quite close, but the senior gentlemen managed to win by 5 1/2 to 2 1/2. Liz Fertacz the Lady Captain is presenting the cup to David Shepherd.

Everybody enjoyed a lovely meal, especially the

chocolat gateau. Mary needed to restore her

energy after playing as the only lady back marker.

The ladies golfing season at Blairgowrie Golf Club opened with 84 ladies participating in the Captain vs Vice Captain match. Here is everybody pictured before the start of the event.
