FRIENDLY MATCH V ST ANDREWS UNIVERSITY 26TH APRIL

HOME FRIENDLY MATCH v ST ANDREWS UNIVERSITY - Sunday 26 April

The sun came out for us today as we welcomed a lovely team from St Andrews University.  None of our visitors had played the course previously and it was a pleasure to hear their compliments as they enjoyed Rosemount and praised its excellent condition. Thank you to our greenkeeping team for all their work.

All matches were keenly contested and congratulations go to the Blairgowrie ladies for bringing home a fantastic 4 - 0 win.

After play we enjoyed a post match refreshment on the patio before sharing stories over a delicious meal in the dining room. Thank you to our hospitality team for looking after us so well.

As always, many thanks to Gill Tissell, Denise Ginley, Anne Farquharson, Fiona Edwards, Teresa Lynch, Angela Rooney, Megan Ashley and team captain Elaine Robson for giving up their time to support the Club. An extra thanks to Brenda Kerr for stepping in at the last minute to fill a late vacancy in the visiting team which was very much appreciated.

Friendly V Elie 13th April

Our Blairgowrie team played in the first Friendly of the season at Elie.  They enjoyed a light delicious lunch in the clubhouse with the sun shining.   On the first tee our team looked resplendent in the new team colours of navy and white.  Sadly conditions changed, the wind was blowing , sun had gone, a few spots of rain and really cold temperatures resulting in thermal clothing in full use.

The course was in great conditions, the bunkers the ladies found easy to get out of, greens were fast and the views spectacular.  The match was played in good friendly spirit but unfortunately the final result was a loss for Blairgowrie  4-0.

Thanks go to Anne Farquharson (Team Captain), Eileen Brown, Fiona Johnston, Margaret Johnstone, Marion Kay, Linda Rice, Louise Whitehead and Anne Walker
