LADIES CHRISTMAS LUNCH 2014

What a rousing welcome awaited everyone today when we arrived  at the Club for the  Ladies Christmas Lunch. A  surprise piper was there to greet us,  and  after pre-lunch drinks, we were piped into the dining room. Very grand!
Lady Captain, Elizabeth Davie,  and her Committee  went to great lengths to ensure we all had a wonderful afternoon..... from carol singing, to the lovely meal, to a surprise visit from Father Christmas  who dished out  lucky number and elimination presents from his huge sack. There were comments that Father Christmas looked like a double for past captain Alan Mackay  - who knows!
The committee rounded off the afternoon with a  hilarious  rendition of "The 12 Days Of Turkey", and  Past Captain Margaret Hunter gave a hearty vote of thanks  to the committee for a  terrific afternoon.

BRIDGE DATES OVER THE HOLIDAY SEASON

Noreen and Joy would like the bridge players to know that the last Tuesday Bridge this year will be next week on Tuesday the 16th of December. Then everything will recommence on Tuesday the 6th of January 2015. They would also like to wish everyone the very best for the holiday season.

 From tomorrow, ladies who have entered the draw for Winter League online and also those who turn up on the day should collect their cards and be advised of their start time from the Pro Shop. A Committee Member will be on hand to deal with cards and hand out prizes at the end of the round.

STANLEY CLARKE COMPETITION REMINDER

If you wish to be eligible to win the Stanley Clarke Trophy, then you must sign up online and play in the draw. The draw is made the day before the competition at 10am which gives everyone time to assess the weather. If you do not play in the draw, you still can win the spot prizes provided each week.
