The Columbine Cup 2018

It's that time of year again, when the Ladies play the Senior Gents for the above trophy.  This match is on Tuesday 10th April, with the Tee time being 1.00pm

The signing up sheet is now displayed in the locker room and we are looking for 16 ladies to play this year.  The draw for the Ladies team will be done following the Ladies Captain v. Vice Captain match on the 30th March.

I hope everyone has a good season and good luck to all.  Please ensure to get your names down for all the displayed events.

WINTER SOCIALS

On Monday what fun we all had knitting squares for a blanket to go to Africa.  Some ladies had never knitted before and some not for many years and so all in all it was a splendid morning, enhanced once again by Mary Miller's lovely walnut and coffee cake.  Our next project is to knit little hats for premature babies.

On Tuesday morning ladies gathered once again, this time to experience some Pilates with Mary Hope.  Mary stressed that she was not a qualified Pilates teacher but was prepared to show us some simple Pilates exercises.  The ladies who attended thoroughly enjoyed their introduction to Pilates and managed to feel the benefit in just a short time.

The last Winter League date is the 9th March and it would be lovely if as many ladies as possible would turn up to play on a that day, as after the golf, Charles has planned, with the help of three ladies, to show us his new spring & summer collection of ladies golf wear.

FUNERAL OF RUTH KERR

The funeral of Ruth Kerr will take place on Friday 16th February at 10 o'clock at Kilconquhar Parish Church, Fife and afterwards at Kilconquhar Castle Estate.

Ruth's friends, Anne Walker, Brenda Kerr, Claire Bidwell, Lorraine Bend and Moira Stewart wish to express their shock and sadness at losing Ruth so suddenly last week.  However, they have been comforted by the many messages of condolence from the ladies section of The Blairgowrie Golf Club.  

Ruth's competitive spirit will live on and she will be remembered for her enthusiasm and enjoyment of golf at The Blairgowrie Golf Club.
