Lady Captain's Day Friday 18th June
We are pleased to say there are 60 ladies playing on Friday. Could you please collect your card from the starter and indicate whether you are staying for lunch. Please then proceed to your allocated start hole. We will be playing a Pinehurst where both you and your partner drive, then for your second shot you play each other's drive and finally you choose the best shot and carry on playing the one ball.
When you come in after your round you will be entitled to a glass of wine or soft drink (including tea or coffee). The cost of lunch will be £6.00. Could you please return your cards to Margaret Kerr and Mari Brown for checking.
The prizes will include:
Team prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
Nearest the pin at 15 for Bronze, and 17 for Silver.
Longest drive at 5 for Silver and 14 for Bronze.
Here's hoping the weather is kind to us and wishing you all an enjoyable day.

The ‘Blairgowrie Belles’ of Blairgowrie Golf Club, from left—Liz Fertacz(former captain), Sandy Bushby (vice-captain), Muriel McPherson (captain) and Mary Hope (former captain). GOLFERS FROM all over Scotland travelled to Auchterarder Golf Club yesterday to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Some 50 teams of four people played the course in the event, which it is hoped will have raised £5000.There was a silent auction and tombola and holes and tees were sponsored by local companies.April Davidson, fund- raising manager for Fife and Forth Valley, said, “It’s really great to see Auchterarder Golf Club do what they enjoy while raising money for Macmillan.”
Unfortunately the Blairgowrie Belles did not have a winning score, but they had a great day with some birdies including an eagle on the par 5 seventeenth which earned them 5 stableford points!

Tuesday Turn Up and Play
Despite the weather being slightly damp and overcast, eleven ladies turned up to play yesterday. Laura MacKay, the competition convenor for the day, organised a hidden hole event-but for putts only. This went down very well and allowed the participants to really concentrate on their putting. Even though one lady had a 10 on a hole, she only had one putt!!!The hidden holes were 1,5,16,17, and a tie breaker on the18th. The winner was Kay Thomson with just 6 putts. Well done Kay.
Scatch League
Well done to the Scratch League team on their win against Dunkeld. The score was 3 matches to 2. Also thanks to Scratch League Captain Susan Arbuckle for the delicious strawberries and raspberries which we had with our supper afterwards.
