GOLFERS FROM all over Scotland travelled to Auchterarder Golf Club yesterday to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Some 50 teams of four people played the course in the event, which it is hoped will have raised £5000.There was a silent auction and tombola and holes and tees were sponsored by local companies.April Davidson, fund- raising manager for Fife and Forth Valley, said, “It’s really great to see Auchterarder Golf Club do what they enjoy while raising money for Macmillan.”

Unfortunately the Blairgowrie Belles did not have a winning score, but they had a great day with some birdies including an eagle on the par 5 seventeenth which earned them 5 stableford points!
