The first friendly match of the season took place on Monday on Rosemount against Forfar ladies. After a few hiccups with cancellations due to Covid, a few ladies thankfully stepped in to make up the team. We were up against a formidable team from Forfar, with quite a few low handicap ladies, but managed to get a 2-2 draw for the match. The Blairgowrie team was Jacqui Landsburgh (Captain), Elaine Robson, Linda Rice, Eileen McMurray, Marion Kay, Ruth Watson, Anne Farquharson and Katie Chapman . The weather was kind to us and we all enjoyed a two course meal in the dining room afterwards, although it did seem strange wandering around the club house without a mask. A great start to the season with a sporting halved match.
