The Loyalty Card is only one aspect of the Club's ongoing Strategy Plan, in relation to the future developments at Blairgowrie Golf Club. The aim and use of the card is to encourage more Ladies and Girls to play golf at the club, with the intention that the user becomes a member of the club thereafter.
It is an "Introductory" Card , with the user being introduced by an existing club member and with whom they should play their initial game at the club. This introduction, thereby allows the Loyalty card user to get to know other club members and view club facilities. After the initial game, the Loyalty card user would be able to play on their own or with another member.
The card will be monitored via the Pro-shop when the user makes contact to book a time to play and have the card stamped. The card is limited to 10 rounds on each of the courses, £5.00 for the Wee course and £10.00 for Rosemount and Lansdown respectfully.
This programme will be monitored closely and reviewed on an on-going basis. It is also in line with Scottish Women's Golf's ethos of attracting more girls and ladies to play golf at all levels. There is no age limit, only an interest in Golf.
Any Lady member may approach the Ladies Committee for a card to introduce someone to the club. Each Committee member holds 10 cards. The lady member's name will be recorded and that of the person they are introducing, along with that person's contact details, which in turn will be passed to the office.
We hope this will help increase the numbers in our Ladies Section.

LADIES GET-TOGETHER
Last night 56 lady members attended our first Social get together of 2019, to celebrate the start of our new Summer season. The ladies enjoyed a glass of wine, mock-tails or a soft drinks before sitting down in the Dining-room for a one course meal followed by coffee and cake. Karyn Dallas, National coach for Scotland Girls' Golf, under 18's, was the after Dinner Speaker.
Karyn Dallas with the Lady Captain Fiona Johnston
Karyn delivered an entertaining and humorous talk on Course Management, Focus and the importance of Nutrition before and during game play. She clearly described the part nutrition plays in helping players keep their concentration and why a player's focus can dip at certain times. The main emphasis was on eating regularly, around every 3 holes and ensuring you drink plenty of water. Her delivery was interactive with the ladies which made for a very relaxed and social evening. Time was set aside for questions and she provided a receipt and handout for recording your personal targets. Copies of both will be photocopied and available to members in the Locker-room.
Many thanks to Angie and staff for the wonderful mock-tails and to Elaine and Garry for a beautifully presented meal and surroundings.
Have a great season Ladies and enjoy.

A Texas Scramble was the last Competition of the Winter Season. 22 ladies ventured out in the light drizzle with the wind having a direct effect on our golf at some of the holes, making Lansdowne feel even longer on occasions. With this in mind, the decision was made to play only 12 holes instead of 16.
After the golf, in the clubhouse some ladies enjoyed a light lunch, a coffee and chat before the golf balls were handed over. The winners had a score of 48-4.6 = 43.4. Runners-up were Linda Rice, Margaret Kerr and June Dargie, 52-5.7 = 46.3
Next week is the Lady Captain v. Vice Captain with a 1.00pm Shotgun start, with the raising of the Club Flag and Opening day photograph. So ladies please be at the club by 12.15pm. A one course meal in the dining room will follow the match and the Friendship Bowl will be presented to the winning team. Ensure you get your name down, by booking online.
