LADY CAPTAIN'S DAY 2017

It was a beautiful summers day for the Lady Captain's Day at Blairgowrie. Fifty two ladies played on Rosemount and thirteen were on the Wee Course. It was good to have our Captain, Meriel Walker, back after her major knee surgery and she was looking on top form. She organised an entertaining day for us all which even included putting with hickory shafted clubs and giving us all a delightful wee bag that contained tees, pencil and ball marker. The winners were as follows:

Wee Course
1st Maureen Reid
2nd Anne King
Nearest the pin and the special 125 prize Kathleen Coupar

Rosemount Course
1st Carolyn Haddow and June Dargie
2nd Lesley Findlay and Kay Thomson
3rd Aileen Priestly and Kathy Cameron
Nearest the pin Bronze Carolyn Haddow
Nearest the pin Silver Mary Miller
Longest Drive Bronze Claire Bidwell
Longest Drive Silver Katy Alexander
Special 125 prize Mary Miller and Heather Welsh

The special 125 prize consisted of the best gross score for the holes 1, 2, 5 plus the putts taken with the hickory shafted club. The purpose of the prize was to celebrate the 125th anniversary of ladies being members of Blairgowrie Golf Club.
