Blairgowrie Ladies Christmas Lunch

Today the Blairgowrie Ladies attended their Christmas Lunch. Despite the dreary weather over 80 ladies turned out for the event.

Maureen Chalmers and Noreen Fordyce celebrated their birthdays today and were both presented with a cake

Announcement for Bridge Ladies

Joy Niven would like to remind all ladies who play bridge at Blairgowrie that the last session before the holidays will be next week Tuesday 16th December. Bridge will resume on the 6th of January. Joy and Noreen would both like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

Today 24 ladies ventured out to play the Winter League. It was a lovely sunny day despite the cold frosty ground which made the ball bounce in unusual ways. However there were some good scores. The winners are as follows:

Ladies Christmas Lunch 12th December

The Blairgowrie Golf Club Ladies Section(including the Wee Course Members) Christmas Lunch will take place on Friday 12th December 2008 at 12 pm for 12:30 pm.

Tickets are on sale in the Dining Room and must be purchased before the 7th December. The cost is £15.00 for a three course meal including a glass of wine.

Please bring a present to the value of no more than £5.00.

It is great to report that a magnificent £250 was raised last Friday in aid of the Breast Cancer charity. Well done to all who dressed up and collected the money.

Tuesday saw the first day of the Blairgowrie Ladies Bridge Club. Everybody was there including our new Captain Liz andVice Captain Muriel. It was a chance to catch up with old friends and to try and remember how to play. There was a special table for beginners where Noreen ably taught them the basics. Afterwards, everyone relaxed with a very welcome cup of tea and carrot cake! Well done to Joy for organising this activity and being such a help when we don't know what to bid.

Welcome to the new Blairgowrie Ladies Blogspot. On this site you will have the chance to catch up with the latest activities going on at the club. Whether it is golf, bridge or any other event, you will find the latest news here along with photographs!

Ladies Winter League 2008-9

This competition will be played on the Lansdowne Blue Course over 12 holes and will begin on the 31st of October. It is played fortnightly until March. The dates in March will be the 13th and the final round on the 20th of March. It is open to Full and Lansdowne Associate Lady Members.

Would ladies wishing to play in the opening round please indicate on the noticeboard in locker room and a draw will be made for that day. Thereafter the Ladies will make a draw at 9.45am on the scheduled dates see below.
