LADIES BRIDGE RESTARTS & NEW BRIDGE SESSIONS FOR BEGINNERS

BRIDGE FOR BEGINNERS

During the winter months Noreen Fordyce and Margaret Hunter are proposing to run classes for anyone interested in learning how to play Bridge.  These will begin on Tuesday 25th October from 10.15am - 11.45am in the dining room.

These sessions will be an introduction to the game and aimed at ladies who haven't played Bridge before.

If you are interested, please add your name to the form on the Notice Board in the Ladies Locker room to give an idea of possible numbers (minimum of 6 required). There will be a small initial charge of £1 to cover photocopying.

The Ladies Annual Meeting will take place at 6pm that evening.

All Lady members are welcome to attend.


There is no meal after the competition but food may be ordered from the bar as usual.

The below notice has been issued to lady members by email and is also posted on the Notice Board in the Ladies Locker Room.  The minutes of the 2021 Annual Meeting are available on the Club Website and a copy is displayed in the Locker Room.  Copies of the Minutes will not be circulated at the Meeting.

LADIES SUNDAY WINTER LEAGUE FRIENDLY MATCHES

It has been decided, following the successful trial last year, to continue the Sunday Winter League Friendly Matches, against Anstruther, Crail, Ladybank and St Michaels.  These matches will take place between October 2022 and February 2023.  Teams of six will compete in a 4-ball better ball format.  Soup and sandwiches will be served after the game.  We encourage all Ladies who are interested in playing in the team to put their name up on the sign up sheet which you will find in the Ladies locker room.  The proposed schedule for the coming winter is detailed below:

Anstruther v Blairgowrie (at home) - Sunday 16th October - 11am

Ladybank v Blairgowrie (at home) - Sunday 30th October - 11am

St Michaels v Blairgowrie (away) - Sunday 27th November - 11.12am

Crail v Blairgowrie (away) - Sunday 19th February - 11.30am
