SOCIAL MONDAYS - HOLIDAYS WITH A DIFFERENCE

Right Ladies, where shall we go?
On a dismal, dull day it was really nice to sit in the warmth of the Clubhouse and hear about holiday ideas in exciting places.  Pauline Hill had arranged to have Kerry Anne from G Adventures  give a talk on holidays with a difference. We all agreed a holiday with golf, a wine tasting, plus time to relax  would be our ideal....and Kerry Anne had some plenty suggestions that suited our request!

Next Week  : Kiehls Cosmetics will be with us to give a talk on skin care, plus hand and arm massage. We may be looking for a volunteer! The ladies coming to give the talk will welcome any questions you may have about your own skin

WINTER SOCIAL WITH JEN SNEDDON 11/02/2019

We had a very interesting demo this morning from Jennifer Sneddon who showed us how she makes hand poured ceramics. Jen is a born raconteur and regaled everyone with  tales of how she  got started, disasters along the way, but finishing with  a display of fine examples of her work.

She very kindly brought along some sample pieces which some of us had a go at decorating. Jen will be exhibiting at the Association of Blairgowrie Craftworkers Spring Fare at the Town Hall on  Saturday 27th April.

Come on ladies, have a go!

Thanks again to Jo Stewart and Pauline Hill for organising the demonstration. Next week we have a talk on holiday ideas - some of which  you might never have considered! Details to follow...

WINTER LEAGUE 08/02/2019

The scene from the lounge this morning
There were NO takers for golf this morning due to heavy overnight rain, strong winds and flooding on the course. Play was not advised, so we settled for coffees and chat. A wise decision!

WINTER SOCIAL MONDAY 11TH FEBRUARY

The Get-together on Monday 11th February will be a talk by Jennifer Sneddon on  how she got started making ceramics. She will then give a demonstration on how she makes the ceramics and the different stages.  Jennifer explained it's too much much to expect ladies to paint anything as it would take too long.  The cheaper paints need a few coats to cover the bisque.  And, of course, she can't cart her oven  from her garage, where she fires the ceramics, to the Club!

She will, however  bring a box of odds and ends which anyone  can take away and paint at home, if they feel like having a go.

Sounds like fun!  10.00am for 10.30am.
