WINTER LEAGUE FRIENDLY v LADYBANK - Sunday 26th November

Our second Winter League match of the season was away at Ladybank on Sunday 26 November.  The forecast was for bright skies and cold conditions and, when we arrived at Ladybank it was certainly cold and the matches were played on winter greens due to the frosty conditions.  Unfortunately it was chilly for most of the day and, towards the end, the rain began to fall.  This did not deter our ladies who fought to the bitter end, with all three matches keenly contested.

In the end local advantage prevailed and we lost the match 2 1/2 to 1/2.  Everyone was glad to come into the clubhouse to warm up and enjoy soup and sandwiches with friendly chat.

Thanks go to the Blairgowrie team - Sue Waddell (team captain), Gill Tissell, Jo Menzies, Sheila Ritchie, Maggie Marshall and Sheila Bruce, and to Sue for the match report and photos.

LADIES CHRISTMAS LUNCH - Friday 8th December

You should have received an email advising that the Ladies Christmas Lunch this year will be held on Friday 8th December and I do hope to see many of you there.  As well as the usual Festive fare there will be a Christmas Quiz, and the opportunity to win some prizes, so please come along and enjoy a delicious meal in friendly company and a relaxed atmosphere.  Further information is detailed below, with bookings now being taken behind the bar.

The Ladies Committee have again decided to put together a Christmas food hamper which will be raffled for my chosen charity, Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA).  Maggie, Heather, Anne, Pauline and myself would be delighted, and very appreciative, to accept any food items that you are able to contribute.

The hamper, once complete, will be displayed in the clubhouse - tickets, costing £1 each, are on sale at the bar.

Anne will again be selling her wonderful home-made confectionary on the day, with all proceeds being donated to SCAA – thank you Anne.
