Texas Scramble Results

The winners of last Friday's Texas Scramble were:

S Bushby D Whytock and K Thomson with a nett 71.1

L Aitken S Lindsay and M Steven were second with a nett 71.3

F Johnston A Kean M Stewart were third with a nett 71.5

The scores were extremely close!

Blairgowrie Ladies' Final Bridge Day

Today the ladies gathered for the final bridge session with over 18 people taking part. The highlight of the day was Dorothy Hardy and Anne Hendry bidding and making a Grand Slam. Well done to them both!

We would all like to say a big thank you to Joy Niven and Noreen Fordyce who make the bridge sessions possible. Their excellent guidance has been of great help and we do appreciate what they do.

Everybody gathered for the final cup of tea.

Blairgowrie Ladies' Fashion Show

On Thursday the 19th March the Ladies' Section hosted a fashion show by Ellas of Dunkeld. The evening was a great success with the sale of 116 tickets and raising £863 for MacMillan Nurses and the new Palliative Care Unit.

Nine models exhibited over a hundred outfits from Ella's Shop in Dunkeld. Five of our own ladies and Charles Dernie modelled golf clothing from the pro shop.

Final Winter League of the Winter Season

Today 25 ladies participated in the final Winter League of the winter season. It was a great turn out and despite the cold start the weather warmed up towards the end.

The winners pictured above were: Silver M Irvine 48; L Fertacz 50; M Rae 51 bih. Bronze, C Smith 45; J Laburn 46bih; L Whitehead 46.
After the golf the ladies were treated to a very tasty complimentary lunch. Well done to Ian Cooke and his staff for making it all so nice for us.
