Turkey Trot and Winter League

On Friday, 23 ladies braved the slightly damp and blustery weather conditions for the turkey trot.
The winners were J.Laburn 79 (after countback) J. Landsburgh 79 and M.Walker 80.

The Winter League begins on Friday 28th October with a draw; so please have names in by Tuesday 25th. Thereafter draws will be done as per the fixture list - from 9:50 till 10:15 on the day. Please note, because the winter course will not be fully ready for Friday, the normal course will be played, but only 12 holes - 1, 2, and then 9 to 18. These 12 holes will not qualify for inclusion in the Stanley Clark Trophy..

Ladies' Bridge

The ladies' bridge resumed after the 'summer' break. Twenty three ladies, led, as always, by Noreen Fordyce and Joy Niven, enjoyed getting together again. These sessions will continue on Tuesdays from 12:30 till 2:30.

Ladies Annual Meeting Friday 14th October 2011

The Ladies' Annual Meeting and Prize Giving took place at Blairgowrie Golf Club on Friday 14th October 2011 at 6:00 pm. Sixty two ladies attended. Lady Captain Sandy Bushby gave her report and  then  handed over to the incoming captain Jean Laburn. Elected onto the ladies' committee were Gillian Wallace, Margaret Hunter, Katie Chapman and Elizabet Davie. Those coming off were Mary Hope, Laura McKay, Mari Brown and Elizabeth Tosh. After the meeting the ladies had a most enjoyable dinner in the dining room. Pictured below, Jean Laburn presents flowers to Sandy.

Turn Up and Play Tuesday 4th October 2011

Fifteen ladies turned out for the last 'Turn Up and Play' Competition of the  season today on Lansdowne. The format was a Texas Scramble and the winning team was Christine Smith, Meriel Walker and Sandy Bushby who shot a gross 76 with a nett score of 66.5. Second was the team of Mari Brown, Janet MacKenzie and Jacqui Landsburgh who shot an 81 with a nett 71.5.
