HEATHER BLOOMS AT BANCHORY 27/05/2013

Congratulations to Heather Anderson who had the lowest score on a cold, wet and windy day at Banchory for the SLGA Regional Medal North-East Division competition on Monday 27th May.
 

Heather returned a 74, three-over-par and two over the CSS from a field of 54 players.

Four players with the best net scores qualified for the Regional Medals Final which will be held at King James VI Golf Club, Perth on Sunday, September 8.

TURN UP AND PLAY 28/05/2013

We had nine ladies for Turn Up and Play this morning, so we settled on  Teams of Three, two scores to count and one "Second Chance" shot each.  It was great fun  and we managed to stay dry.  The winning Team  was Sandy Bushby, Morna Steven and Margaret Hunter  with 72 points. 

Thanks to all who came along. The next Turn Up and Play is on July 2nd, on Rosemount,  with Katy Chapman in charge.  It would be helpful if ladies  could get to the Locker Room by 9.30am latest to allow the organiser of the day a bit of time to sort out handicaps,  strokes received, etc.

SCRATCH TEAM RESULTS 28/05/2013

Last night the scratch team travelled to Muckhart.
Fortunately  the weather stayed dry for us and despite a valiant effort by all we were beaten 4 & 1/2  to 1/2. Well done Susan for gaining our sole point of the night.

WEE COURSE LADIES LADY CAPTAIN'S DAY

A sign-up sheet is on the Wee Course Ladies notice-board for the  Wee Course Ladies Lady Captain's Day on Wednesday 5th June, starting at 10.00am.  There will be 9 holes of golf, followed by a light lunch.
Sign-up closes at 10.00am on Tuesday 4th June.

This event is NOT restricted to Wee Course Ladies ,  do  please come along for a bit of  fun, chat and  wee prizes.

BLAIRGOWRIE LADIES INVITATION DAY RESULTS

Today Blairgowrie Ladies hosted the Ladies' Invitation. Despite rain, wind, hail and some sunshine, the event was enjoyed by all.  Scores were very close on both courses and in fact there were three groups on 72 for the Lansdowne Course. We enjoyed glorious weather for this fun event! Everyone commented how nice it was to play in  sunshine.  Apologies for the mix-up over the draw....but it all worked out in the end.

We lost  at home  against Caledonia (Carnoustie) despite every game going to the wire.   We haven't managed a win yet, so good luck to the girls playing in the match at Crieff on Monday

RESULT : MAIL ON SUNDAY 06/05/2013

We played Dunkeld this evening in the latest round of the Mail On Sunday competition.  The result was a  tie, and in the deciding match Blairgowrie  lost on the 3rd hole.  Thanks to everyone who has played  this year in the competition.  This latest match could not have been tighter. We all agreed  it was a pity that someone had to lose....
