The Ladies Committee have now decided the first round for the various championships  has to be played by Friday the 13th June to give the ladies a bit more time to organise their ties. This information has been altered on the notice boards in the Clubhouse and also online on the Club's website.

TURN UP AND PLAY 27/05/2014

Linda Rice was in charge of Turn Up And Play on Lansdowne, although  perhaps it  should have been Turn Up and Putt!    Linda asked ladies to  count their putts, but there was a catch. Holes 1 - 6 were with the right hand,  holes 7 - 12 with the left hand and  holes 13 - 18 with two hands.
Jean Jasper won with 34 putts, followed by Janet McKenzie with 37 and Aileen Kean managed 38. Try it -  it's not easy...

SCRATCH TEAM RESULT AGAINST MUCKHART

The Scratch Team  were in action  on Rosemount last night, but came up against very strong  opposition from Muckhart,  going down by  1 - 4.  Too bad, but thanks to the Team for their efforts - Gillian Wallace, Fiona Johnston, Millie Douglas, Susan Arbuckle and Brenda Clough.

BLAIRGOWRIE LADIES' INVITATION

The Ladies' Invitation took place on the the Rosemount Course today and was a great success. The weather was kind to us and the course was in lovely condition. Thanks go to Meriel Walker and Moira Stewart for organising such a successful day that was enjoyed by all.

TURN UP AND PLAY

Brilliant sunshine greeted  ladies for the first Turn Up and Play  get-together of 2014 with   Vice-Captain Elizabeth Davie in charge.  Elizabeth  arranged a  fun Texas Scramble. The sun, alas, disappeared and  some ladies were drenched over the last few holes, but all agreed it had been a fun  morning.
The Winning team was Muriel Rae, Aileen Priestley, Elizabeth Tosh and Aileen Anderson.

The next Turn Up and Play  will be on Tuesday 27th May, on Lansdowne, with Linda Rice in charge.

RESULTS BLAIRGOWRIE LADIES VS CRIEFF LADIES 12th MAY 2014

         
Today, Blairgowrie Ladies played Crieff Ladies in our annual friendly match at home on Rosemount. In what is usually a tough match, our ladies emerged victorious, winning 3 1/2 - 1/2 and a fun  day was had by all. Congratulations go to Margaret Hunter (Captain), Ann Henry, Linda Rice, Elizabeth Davie, Aileen Kean, Jan Reekie, Diane Wallace and Margaret Paterson. Many thanks to them for representing our club!
