TURN UP AND PLAY
Today, 14 ladies turned up to play in our fun event of Bingo, Bango, Bongo. The rules of the game included the 1st player landing on the green receiving 3 points, (Bingo), the player nearest to the hole when all were on the green receiving 3 points, (Bango) and finally the 1st player to hole out would receive 3 points,(Bongo).
The respective winners were Linda Rice with 24 Bingos, Elizabeth Tosh with 33 Bangos and Katie Chapman with 36 Bongos. The overall winner was Elizabeth Tosh with a total of 75 points. Margaret Sturrock scored 90 points, playing in a group of two.
The ladies reported that the event was good fun, with all enjoying the day in lovely morning sunshine. Following the game all the ladies enjoyed a light refreshment, during which the prizes were given out.
Many thanks to all who turned up to support this event today and I hope you look forward to our final Turn Up and Play of the year on the 27th September.

LADIES' PAST CAPTAINS DAY 2016
The winner of the trophy on the Rosemount Course was Sandy Bushby who scored 41 points. Janette Hamilton was second and Margaret Hunter was third. The winner on the the Wee Course was Nora Hay. The winners were presented with lovely hydrangeas.

FROM THE MATCH SECRETARY
Blairgowrie Ladies v. Pitlochry
On Monday the 8th August our ladies, lead by our Lady Captain Kathy Cameron, played hosts to a spirited Pitlochry team in our annual friendly. The match was played over the Rosemount course which continues to be in excellent condition. The overall match resulted in a 2-2 draw with both teams enjoying the whole day.
The match was followed by a great meal in the dinning room, with both captains on the day giving their vote of thanks, with the Pitlochry ladies already looking forward to having us back next year.
Many thanks to the team of Kathy Cameron, Ann Henry, Jan Kennedy, Carol Turner, Linda Rice, Doreen Johnston, Dianne Wallace and Christina Cleeton for volunteering to play.

HANDICAP CLARIFICATION
- All members of affiliated Clubs with CONGU handicaps are required tosubmit at least 3 qualifying scores per calendar year to retain aCompetition handicap. To have a Competition handicap a member musthave returned 3 qualifying scores during the previous year.
- Qualifying scores are those returned in Club qualifying competitions(Home or Away), Supplementary Scores or 9 hole qualifying events.Scores returned socially or in match play competition are notacceptable.
- Exemptions are permitted for those who have had health/injuryproblems or have been out of the Country and this has prevented themfrom returning the required number of qualifying scores.
