Very many congratulations to Sandy Bushby who recently passed the Level 3 Rules Exam when she attended the annual Tournament Administrators and Referees School (Tars) organised by The R&A, at the Fairmont St. Andrews.

An excellent achievement Sandy!

Blairgowrie Ladies Tri-Am

Sunday 18th June 2017

This event is now an Open Tri-Am and therefore, entries from other clubs must be done online. However, ladies making up Blairgowrie teams should obtain their entry form from the Pro shop. It is sitting on the main counter.

I realise this is really advance notice, but this competition was very popular last year with 46 teams participating and we are hoping a similar number of teams will enter this year. Tee times are from 8.00am to 3.30pm.

I look forward to viewing your entry.

Information for the New Season

It has been encouraging to see that a good number of ladies have kept their swing going over the winter months, as the new Summer Season is almost upon us. Our season officially commences on 2nd April 2017, which is in 6 weeks time. With this in mind, I would like to give the ladies advance notice of what I have pinned up on the noticeboards.

1. The first 5 fixtures for the friendly Inter-club matches are up, with our first game being at home to Forfar on 17th April, 1.00pm tee off. Please note that some of the away matches this year are not all a 1.00pm start.

2. The first 5 fixtures for the Handicap League are also up, with the first match away to Crieff on 10th April, 5.30pm Also, please note that some of the away matches this year are on a Sunday and some home matches are on a Tuesday.

The number of ladies playing last year was excellent and I would hope to build on that this season. So ladies please ensure to get your name down as all our matches are about having fun, visiting other courses and meeting new people from other clubs. I look forward to another busy year.

If you are a new member reading this, then please get in touch so I can brief you on the procedures for playing in any of these fixtures.

Have a good season and lets hope the weather is kind to us all.
