SENIOR LADIES & WEE COURSE LADIES TEXAS SCRAMBLE

It was a glorious day today for our May Texas Scramble.  Shirley had organised 7 teams which were composed of committee members and Wee Course ladies.   All the ladies, including some who had never played in a Texas Scramble before, enjoyed their games and a lot of laughter and fun was had by all.

The games were followed by an enjoyable lunch in the dining room with some ladies who were unable to take part in the golf, joining the group for the lunch.

The winners were Maureen Reid, Carolyn Haddow and Liz Ridsdale who each received a little potted plant.  The runners up of Anne Spence, Catherine Courts and Janice Lang received a golf ball each.

HANDICAP LEAGUE MATCH v KING JAMES

This home match was held on Monday 21st May in beautiful sunshine which undoubtedly was good for the golf, and the players' tan.  The games were all very close with 3 games going to the 18th. After the match both teams enjoyed a salad supper in the clubhouse with feedback being that the food was of a good standard.  The King James players commented positively on the course and the warm welcome received by all at our club.

I would like to thank the Blairgowrie team of Gillian Wallace, Liz Fertacz, Mary Hope, Sandy Bushby and myself for representing the club on the night and coming home with 3.5 win to 1.5.

HANDICAP LEAGUE v MURRAYSHALL

This match was our first of the group stages of the League competition.  Our team of Jillian Milne (captain), Bronwen Godley, Kate Musgrave-Brown, Lorraine Bend and Hazel Moore offered to represent the club on a cold Tuesday evening, on a course not many of the players had played.

This was the first time that Kate & Lorraine had represented the club and both enjoyed the experience.  All players enjoyed refreshments in the clubhouse after the match which finished as darkness fell.  Thank you to all who played.

Result was a 4 - 1 win to Murrayshall.

LADIES INVITATION DAY

Ladies Invitation Day was held on Tuesday 1st May when fortunately, although still chilly, it was mainly dry.

It was lovely to play with our friends, enjoy their company and have a nice meal afterwards.

Everyone had fun and it is to be hoped that our guests enjoyed their day playing on our superb Rosemount course.

Thank you to all who contributed to this successful event especially my Vice Captain, Pauline, and committee member Brenda, the organisers for our Invitation Day.
