The Annual Meeting was held in the Dining
Room at 6.00pm, with 34 full members 12 Wee Course members with 21 apologies
received.
After the Minutes of 2018 were approved,
there being no matters arising, the various reports were delivered commencing
with :-
Competitions Report, Margaret Kerr,
Friendly Matches, Fiona Johnston, Handicap League, Mary Miller, and Scratch
League, Jillian Milne, followed by Shirley Irvine covering the Wee Course
Report. The Lady Captain read a
report provided by Brenda Kerr, Blairgowrie rep for P & K County
Ladies, and who is working to encourage more ladies and juniors to become involved in golf.
As Lady Captain, I delivered my report
highlighting many positives in my year, which included the Tri-Am, the Outing
to Ladybank, the introduction of
the Lady Captain, Captains Day and, of course, my own Captain's Day in
September.
I gave thanks to all the ladies for their
support over the year, and to the Committee who have worked so collectively to
contribute towards the Club's overall Strategy. In concluding my report I made reference to my words of last
year, “If I still have that smile, the one in the photo on the wall, at the end
of my Captaincy, then I will have achieved what I set out to do.” I then sang, "I'm still Smiling", and
thank you everyone, I've enjoyed it.
Nomination of Lady Captain took place and I
presented Margaret Kerr with the Captain's Badge and a personal gift. In a joyous atmosphere Margaret
continued with the election of the Vice Captain, Nora Bennet and two Committee members, Gill Tissell and Jacqui Landsburgh.
To conclude the evening there was a
presentation of Winter League prizes and various others.
