Weren't we lucky to have such a beautiful day for the Ladies Captain v Vice Captain Season Opener game? Forty-four ladies participated in the match which was led by Ladies Captain Gill and Vice-Captain Sue and their playing partners, Mary Hope and Cassy Grant. The malfunctioning sprinklers on the 1st green meant the Captain's group had an unwelcome shower! Perhaps the greenkeepers were playing an April Fool joke!
Notwithstanding the sprinklers, the Greenkeeping staff are to be commended for presenting the Rosemount course in such a splendid condition
Most of the matches were pretty close and the main objective of the day was achieved: to enjoy playing a friendly game of golf. The final result was not so close (ahem) with the Captain's team winning by 28 holes to 6. However, Gill and Sue would like to thank everyone who played and who helped get the season off to a great start.
Afterwards we enjoyed a drink and delicious lunch with a chance to relax and chat.
