Blairgowrie Ladies v St Rule Ladies Friendly Match
Today Blairgowrie Ladies visited St Andrews to play The St Rule Golf Club over the Eden course. Conditions at the start were sunny with a stiff breeze blowing. Sadly these conditions did not last and the clouds came in bringing with them some rain, hailstones and even a clap of thunder! Thankfully this did not last and kit had dried out well before the end of the round. The course was in immaculate condition and the greens were a real test due to their speed. Afterward the ladies retired to the lovely St Rule clubhouse, overlooking the 18th on the Old Course and enjoyed an excellent meal and some lively chat! Although Blair fought valiantly, with the first game going down to the last put on the 18th, St Rule ran out very convincing winners with local knowledge being of huge advantage!
